Over 40 thousand students already learned with master Jaime Arôxa
and many of them followed well succeeded careers.
As child, Jaime showed an great artistic suitability for dancing. In the 80's when he moved permanently from Recife to Rio de Janeiro and he found out about Ballroom dancing through his first teacher, Maria Antonieta. As a professional, Jaime created his own methods of teaching ballroom dance, highlighting the expression of feelings, and the use of movement.
In 1985 Jaime Arôxa started his own dance school, pioneer on teaching ballroom dancing on a large scale. After only one year, the school already had more than 800 students, becoming officially the "Centro Cultural e Escola de Dança Jaime Arôxa". The place became famous as "a little piece of paradise in the middle of the carioca concrete jungle".
Parallel to his teaching life, Jaime Arôxa also directs and choreographs original shows, besides working in plays, movies, TV shows and international shows. True to his "art of rebirth" and intensely inspired by human relationships, his work is in constant evolution.
